Repair guide - Jura E4 - Fix hot water via dial goes directly into waste bucket
Issue:
Coffee machine Jura E4 continues to brew coffee, but using the dial results in the hot water flowing directly into the waste bucket.
This guide might also work for other Jura devices (unconfirmed).
Solution:
Follow the iFixit guide to remove the side panel (panel with the power button). You do not need to remove the other side panel, nor the top cover. Unfortunately, the repair requires the Oval Drive Bit.
Once the side panel is removed, you should see this:
If you had the same problem as I did, you should find a part of the tube filled with lime:
Remove the metal brackets which are circled in red on the first image. Afterwards, carefully remove the tubing. Declog the tube (blowing typically does the trick) and reattach the tube and metal brackets.
Reassemble the device and everything should work again.
Process might have to be repeated after a couple of brews as excess lime which was held back at other places seems to redeposit in the bend once the hot water flows again.
